KOCHI: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), predicted a defeat for BJP in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Dipke urged the public to prepare for a change in government at the Centre. He was speaking at a protest meeting held in Kochi, organised to oppose the SIR and to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Pointing out that a change in governance is possible only through elections, Dipke demanded the establishment of a free and impartial electoral system in the country. This protest was organised at Rajendra Maidan in Kochi as part of CJP’s ‘Jantar Mantar in Kochi’ campaign. He further alleged that the NDA government has declared war against the nation's youth in order to protect the Chief Election Commissioner.
Dioke also raised questions about the great importance the central government gives to Gyanesh Kumar. Citing his own arrest—along with that of fellow CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka—for entering Delhi’s Jantar Mantar with the national flag, Dipke asserted that he would continue to hoist the national flag wherever he goes.
"Just for hoisting the national flag, my brothers, Saurav and Ashutosh, and I were imprisoned. The last time something like this happened in India was during the British colonial era," he stated.
Dipke further alleged that the central government is attempting to impose controls not only on what people eat and whom they marry, but even on whom they choose to vote for. He claimed that the SIR is being used to influence election results.
