See this interview taken 37 years ago, how Yesudas changed…..

Today is the 81st birthday of Yesudas. There is no Malayalam celebrity who has influenced the life of Keralites so much. It is also unexplainable how six-decade-long career of this gifted singer has filled the Malayalee minds with various facets on human emotions via his enchanting voice. Even while he was at the pinnacle of his successful career, with an indisputable position in the Malayalam film music industry, controversies have always chased him. The disputable stand taken by him on certain recent public issues has also invited criticisms from certain corners. But people near to him always say that he dealt all those issues with his signature ‘Yesudas’ touch.

In the interview taken by A V M Unni in 1984, Yesudas has openly expressed his independent opinion on various issues concerning music, his personal life and even about the cultural sphere of Kerala.
