KOOTICKAL: The bodies of Martin and Siny, who got married at St Mary's Church at Kavali 15 years ago, were brought to the church for one last time on Monday. The bodies of Martin's mother Claramma and his children Sona, Sandra and Sneha were also brought to the church. As many people, who gathered in the church, struggled to hold back tears, the six bodies were laid to rest in two separate graves in the church cemetery.

Relatives and other close ones gave a tearful adieu to all the six members of the family who lost their lives in the landslide. The bodies of Kootickal native Ottalingal Martin Roy (47), his mother Claramma (65), his wife Siny (45), children Sneha (14), Sona (12) and Sandra (10), which were kept at a private hospital after post mortem, were brought to the St. Mary's Church yesterday afternoon. The marriage of Martin and Palakkad native Siny had taken place at this very same church 15 years ago. The loud cries of Siny's father Xavier and mother Baby moved everyone who gathered at the church to tears.

Ministers VN Vasavan and K Radhakrishnan, Anto Antony MP, MLAs Sebastian Kulathungal, Vazhoor Soman, Mons Joseph, District Collector Dr PK Jayasree and others paid their last respects to the deceased.
