THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lashing out at Chief Minister and the Kerala police, KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Tuesday alleged that the chief minister was trying to silence the Congress by trapping the leaders in bogus cases. He also said that the police were acting like Pinarayi Vijayan's slaves.

"The state police force, which is turning a blind eye towards the atrocities of the ruling party, is busy trapping the leaders of the opposition in bogus cases. Pinarayi is playing with fire by deciding to register a case against Congress leaders including state Congress working president Kodikunnil Suresh, KPCC vice president VJ Paulose, VP Sajeendran, general secretary Deepthi Mary Varghese, Tony Chammany, Dominic Presentation and DCC President Muhammad Shiyas. It is foolish to think that such an action can stop Congress from staging protests," Sudhakaran said.

"The Congress will soon come up with more protests against the petrol and diesel price hike and Pinarayi's fascist measures. The days of great agitation with the cooperation of the people are approaching," he added.
