KOTTAYAM: In order to avoid the disturbance of police, the groups that exchange partners gather in houses. On which member’s house they are gathering and who all will reach there will be a secret. They find people via chatting on the social media. After developing a friendly relation, they understand things and then will go the extent of sharing secret information. Lastly they will share the information of exchanging partners. If they express interest, they will be included in the secret messenger groups. They will first share pictures and then will make a video call. After that will fix the gathering. The gathering is in the name of family reunion and so no one will suspect anything. When they reach for the reunion, all should follow the unwritten laws. Will have to share the bed with four people at a time. They will indulge in unnatural sex also.
Those coming with wives get top priority. A person coming alone should give money to attend the reunion. Known as ‘stud’, they will have to pay Rs 14,000 to the group. Only then they will get the person they want. A woman and a man can become stud. Expats can also attend the couple meet. Such meetings are usually held in tourist centres and homestays. The gathering here will be in the name of family reunion.
The group including people from various districts of the state and expats has thousand members. Doctors and advocates are active members of the group. Apart from couples, unmarried people are also there. Seven groups on social media in connection with the case are under observation. There are more than five thousand members in seven groups. The police said some of them have been married for less than a year and some over 20 years.
