Kerala records 34,199 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 49 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 34,199 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 33,195 persons developed the disease through contact, including 596 cases without an identified source of infection. 125 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 283 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

8193 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,68,383 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 49 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 51,160.

Ernakulam 5953, Thiruvananthapuram 5684, Thrissur 3604, Kozhikode 3386, Kottayam 2333, Pathanamthitta 1944, Palakkad 1920, Kannur 1814, Kollam 1742, Malappuram 1579, Idukki 1435, Alappuzha 1339, Wayanad 798, Kasaragod 668.
