Ambalamukku murder: Police to take accused to Tamil Nadu to find locket and knife

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police will be going to Tamil Nadu again with the accused Rajendran in the Ambalamukku Vinitha murder case. He will be taken to the lodge at Kaval Kinar in Anchugram, his hometown, for inspection. The locket of Vinitha's chain and the knife used to kill her are yet to be found.

The accused had told police that the locket is in the lodge room and the weapon used for the murder was abandoned in Tamil Nadu. This is why the team is going to Tamil Nadu with the accused.


The police had earlier recovered the chain he stole from Vinitha’s body and pawned in a firm in Anchugramam. The investigating officials found that of the money he got, he deposited Rs 36,000 in bitcoin.

Vinitha was murdered on February 6. The body was found in the plant nursery in Ambalamukku where she was working. The accused was identified with the help of CCTV and statements of the witness. The shirt he wore at the time of committing the crime was recovered yesterday.
