KOCHI: KN Satheesh (62), former secretary of state government, former administrator of Guruvayoor Devaswom and former executive officer of Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, has passed away. He died yesterday at 6 pm in New Delhi due to a heart attack. After retirement, he lived in a flat in Perandur in Elamakara, Ernakulam. His body will be brought home this afternoon. The funeral will be held later. He is the son of late Balakrishnan Nambiar and Karthyaani Amma.
He joined the Revenue Department as a Tehsildar. Has also served as Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod Collector. His wife is Rama. Daughter: Dr. Durga. Son-in-law: Dr. Mithun.
He was working as a member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad State Governing Council and President of Kalur Pavakulam Mahadeva temple committee. He came to New Delhi to meet the Union Ministers along with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad team. He was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday morning but died in the evening.
