ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence has confirmed that Iran launched a series of missile and drone attacks against the country today. According to official statements, the UAE’s missile defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized the incoming threats.
These strikes follow a wave of heavy bombardments yesterday and today, occurring just four weeks after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire was announced.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed grave concern over the "serious escalation" in Iranian aggression, characterising the strikes as a direct threat to national security. In an official statement, the Ministry asserted that the UAE maintains the "full legal right" to respond to these provocations to protect its sovereignty and citizens.

The conflict turned' fatal yesterday when an Iranian strike targeted a major fuel industry hub in Fujairah. The Ministry confirmed that three Indian nationals were injured in the attack on the petroleum industrial zone.
The Indian government has formally registered its protest regarding the attack. UAE defense officials stated that while their air defence units continue to engage drones and missiles, emergency fire crews are working to contain blazes triggered by the strikes at the industrial sites.
