KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait has temporarily closed its airspace following the Middle East conflict. The decision comes amid Iran's continued strong attacks on US military bases. The Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority informed that flights have been diverted. With this, expatriates are deeply worried. The Middle East conflict has created a serious crisis for Indians, including Malayalees.

Iran had carried out a strong airstrike on Kuwait and Bahrain last week. An Indian was killed and several people, including Malayalees, were injured in an Iranian drone attack on Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport.

Meanwhile, Iran has completely closed the Strait of Hormuz following the US airstrikes. Iran has informed that it is closing Hormuz due to the insecurity in the region. A complete ban on ships has been imposed. It is reported that Iran has also warned that it will fire on ships trying to enter Hormuz without permission.
