Historic achievement at Asian Games: Malayali Vidarsa K Vinod secures second silver medal in shooting

NAGOYA: Vidarsa K Vinod scripted history, winning her second silver medal in shooting at the Asian Games. She won the silver today in the women's 50m rifle team event. Vidarsa had previously won a silver medal in the women's 10m air rifle team event.

Vidarsa won the silver medal with an impressive performance, scoring 588 points in the standing series. The Indian team, comprising Vidarsa, Ashi Chouksey, and Tilottama Sen, scored a total of 1673 points; China secured the top spot. Vidarsa finished sixth in the qualification round with 588 points. Tilottama Sen also qualified for the final. The final match is scheduled for 9:30 AM IST.
