Five including two Malayali nurses die in fatal road accident in Saudi Arabia

Victims of road accident in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Five people, including two nurses from Kerala, died tragically in a road accident in Saudi Arabia. The accident occurred yesterday on the Taif-Rania road. The victims include Malayalees Jaisymol Mathew (36) from Ayarkkunam, Kottayam, and Jobina Johny (26) from Anachery Anjakkunnel, Kurumalloor.

Two Tamil Nadu natives—Vijayalakshmi and Hepsiba—who were in the car at the time of the accident, along with the driver, a Saudi national, died in the incident. All of them were employed at the Al-Ghafa and Al-Awaila clinics in Taif Governorate and had travelled to Rania on their day off for shopping and other activities. The bodies have been kept at a hospital in Rania. Reports indicate that the accident occurred due to a collision between vehicles on the expressway.
