RIYADH: Two soldiers were killed after a Saudi Arabian helicopter crashed amidst ongoing clashes with Houthi rebels in Yemen. The incident occurred on Sunday in a border area near Najran, Saudi Arabia. The Houthis claimed to have shot down the helicopter, while Saudi Arabia blamed a technical malfunction for the tragedy.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia intercepted Houthi missiles and drones aimed at areas including Riyadh, Khamis Mushait, and Najran. In Najran, six people were injured when missile debris fell; three houses and several vehicles sustained damage.
The Saudi-led coalition destroyed two Houthi ballistic missile launch sites in Yemen’s Saada province. The Houthis alleged that the coalition forces attacked populated areas, resulting in the deaths of 12 civilians.
