Indian woman, mother-in-law killed in car crash in Melbourne

MELBOURNE: An Indian woman from Andhra Pradesh and her mother-in-law were killed in a road accident in Melbourne, Australia. The deceased have been identified as Neha Bommali (33), a native of Visakhapatnam, and her mother-in-law, Rama Devi (67).

The car in which the two were travelling collided with a Porsche at the junction of Boardwalk Boulevard and Innisfail Drive in Point Cook, a southwestern suburb of Melbourne, around 9.40 pm on September 16. The two women were travelling in a Toyota Corolla when a speeding Porsche crashed into their car.

Both women and the Porsche driver, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, were taken to a nearby hospital. However, Neha and Rama Devi died before reaching the hospital. The driver of the Porsche is undergoing treatment.

Neha was the mother of two children- three-and-a-half-year-old Harav and one-year-old Vivanvi. Neha's mother-in-law and her husband, Tulasi Prasad, had travelled to Australia on tourist visas to visit their son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
