RIYADH: Reports say three Malayalees were detained at the airport and deported. The three from Thiruvananthapuram, who arrived at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport with a fake job visa, were deported.
They arrived in Riyadh four days ago. As their visas were fake, they were kept in custody at the airport and after completing the formalities, they were deported to Kozhikode the next day itself.
The visas were issued by altering information such as the visa number, date, name, passport number, reference number, and occupation on the printout of another visa. They were duped by the agents after making them believe that the visas issued were real. The Malayalees said that they had to give Rs 150,000 to the agent in Saudi. Reports also said that the three who came with fake visas were nabbed by the Saudi police and jailed. Another person who was with them was sent back from Kochi to Kozhikode after it was found that the visa was fake.
