TEHRAN: Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the third supreme leader of Iran, is unlikely to attend the funeral of his father and Iran's former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The decision was made due to security concerns amid the ongoing conflict with Israel. This was confirmed by Ayatollah Hakim Elahi, the Iranian supreme leader's representative in India.
Security officials consider it dangerous for Mojtaba to appear in public amid the ongoing dispute with Israel. Although Mojtaba wants to meet the people in person, he may not attend the ceremony due to security arrangements.
