'Romantic overtures crossing all limits, release crucial audio message'

Actress Mala Parvathy said that the audio clip of actress Manju Warrier sternly warning director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan over the latter's baseless allegations was produced in court. The audio recordings feature Manju Warrier and her brother, Madhu Warrier, firmly telling Sanal Kumar Sasidharan to stop his allegations. Mala Parvathy added that Manju Warrier had stated these clips were not released publicly out of courtesy.

“The protest Sanal Kumar Sasidharan is staging outside the Secretariat is unprecedented. His demand for the release of the Hema Committee report is his right; however, his claim that Manju Warrier is in the clutches of a sex racket is nothing but a delusion. His irrational behaviour—ranging from the assertion that he and Manju are being prevented from living together has crossed all limits.

I spoke with Manju on more than one occasion to hear what she had to say about this matter. Manju said she had a recording of a phone conversation—in which she and her brother spoke sternly to the person making the excessive romantic overtures—and she submitted this to the court. Manju told me she would not release the audio out of propriety. However, I would urge Manju to release that phone conversation as soon as possible.

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s antics are crossing all limits, and he is showing no signs of stopping. He is repeating the same old, stale allegations—claiming she is in the clutches of a sex racket—by displaying a banner to that effect in front of the Secretariat. To humiliate Manju Warrier, he repeatedly plays an audio clip featuring the voice of a Tamil woman. In any case, the cyber police can investigate the matter.

Though Manju might take most of the controversy lightly, it is worrying to know that a random Google search for "Manju Warrier" yields only the stories fabricated by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. This effectively undermines everything she has accomplished over the years. None of his allegations stands up to basic logic.

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan must hand over this voice note to the police immediately. He needs to prove when this conversation took place and through which medium it occurred. Even if it was an internet call, it can be traced using the URL.”
