'Sophie' from Manasaputhri fell for Vipin, but his friend loved her too; Sreekala Sasidharan reveals their love story

Malayalam television actress Sreekala Sasidharan, who became a household favourite through her portrayal of Sophie in the popular serial Manasaputhri, has opened up about how her love story with her husband Vipin began and eventually led to their marriage.

In an interview with Vipin, Sreekala shared that she was the first to develop feelings for him, despite the two coming from the same locality. She said Vipin used to call and wish her during festivals, which gradually made her feel closer to him.

However, the relationship came with an unexpected twist when Sreekala learned that Vipin's friend was also in love with her. When the friend told her about his feelings, Sreekala made it clear that she liked Vipin. She also asked him to think about her decision and let her know.

After learning about Sreekala's feelings, Vipin found himself in a dilemma. His main concern was that accepting her love could hurt his friend. He therefore decided to speak to his friend before responding to Sreekala.

It was after that conversation that things changed. Once Vipin understood that his friend had no objection to him continuing his relationship with Sreekala, he accepted her love.

The couple eventually got married after being in a relationship for a long time. They also revealed that their families did not initially support their relationship. According to Vipin, there were some family-related difficulties as they were also relatives.

Although Sreekala was the one who expressed her love first, her relationship with Vipin reaching the stage of marriage was also shaped by his friend's consent. The couple have since moved past the uncertainty and waiting that marked the early days of their relationship and are now leading their life together.
