Mohanlal in New York for football final, backs Kerala's Argentina hopes in new video

Actor Mohanlal has shared a video from New York ahead of the much-awaited football final, saying he is at the stadium to watch the title clash between Argentina and Spain.

In the video, which was uploaded on his social media handles around 30 minutes before kickoff, the actor is seen inside a packed stadium with the caption: "The stadium is buzzing. Can't wait for kickoff."

Speaking in Malayalam, Mohanlal says he has travelled to New York to watch the final in person. Although he says he does not have a favourite team, he adds that most football fans in Kerala are hoping for an Argentina victory.

"I don't have a favourite team. I just want to enjoy the match and see who wins. But the majority of people in Kerala want Argentina to win. Let's hope that happens," he says, before wishing viewers an enjoyable match.

The video concludes with producer Antony Perumbavoor joining Mohanlal as the two pose together against the backdrop of the packed stadium.
