Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, responded to the political winds changing in the state and spoke more about his relationship with his father in an exclusive interview granted to Behindwoods TV.
“It is a historical revolution that happened in Tamil Nadu. It has put a big responsibility on me, my sister or any other member of the family. We have to move forward with that. Not only that, but we have to protect it. Therefore, I have to be careful and vigilant.
The biggest advice my father gave me was to forge my own identity and make a name for myself. My mind was also on the same track. I could ask for any help I wanted, but my father insisted that I should not depend on any mediator but talk about anything face to face. He wanted me to go through life's experiences on my own. I am indebted to my father and mother in that regard.
I still don't know the circumstances that led to me dancing in the movie 'Vettaikaran'. Shobi Paulraj was the dance master, and I remember him shouting ‘action’. When I heard the word action, I was scared and went and hugged my father. Seeing so many people at the set scared me. My father consoled me a lot, and then I started dancing. That moment came to my mind even when I was directing my own movie.”
