South Indian actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has confirmed she is expecting her first child, addressing days of widespread speculation surrounding her personal life. Rumors regarding her pregnancy began circulating heavily online after a video surfaced from the success celebrations of her latest film, Maa Inti Bangaram. Although neither Samantha nor her husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, initially commented on the reports, the actor has now officially confirmed the news.

The confirmation came during a recent thank you meet function of Maa Inti Bangaram, where a fan earnestly requested her to avoid taking another long break from the film industry. Responding directly to the fan, Samantha revealed her plans to take maternity leave following the box office success of her recent project. She expressed her immense happiness while asking her followers for patience, promising that she would return to the screen after a brief hiatus. The understated and heartfelt manner in which she shared the milestone quickly sparked widespread engagement and celebration across social media platforms.

The couple is reportedly expecting the birth of their child this coming December. This joyful update follows a series of significant milestones for the actor, who separated from her former husband Naga Chaitanya in 2021, and subsequently married Raj Nidimoru on December 1, 2025.
