Shakeela suffers neck injury, undergoes surgery; actress appeals to fans

Actress Shakeela has said she developed a serious neck problem after spending long hours using her mobile phone. As the pain became severe, she underwent surgery. Shakeela shared videos on her YouTube channel showing her time in hospital after the procedure and her return home. She is currently wearing a neck collar and requires assistance to get out of bed and eat.

In the video, Shakeela said mobile phones are useful but should not be used excessively. The surgery was performed by Dr Balamurugan at Medway Hospital.

Shakeela said she used to spend around four hours a day playing games on her mobile phone and also spent long hours on social media, which she believes worsened her condition. She urged her fans to use mobile phones only when necessary and advised parents to avoid giving phones to children.
