Trisha messaged me immediately after I signed Vijay’s Film, reveals Malavika Mohanan 

Although she has acted only in a handful of Malayalam films, Malavika Mohanan is an actress quite popular among the Malayalees. She played a significant role in the recently released Karthi-starrer Sardar 2. Now, excerpts from an interview given by the actress in connection with the film are attracting attention. In an interview with SS Music, Malavika opened up about actress Trisha.

‘We acted together in Rajinikanth’s Petta. Trisha was the one who gave me confidence at that time. It was the early stage of my acting career. Trisha is a very loving person. During the shoot in Varanasi, we used to go out together. Most of the time, we had spent time together. By the time the shooting of that film ended, we had become good friends.

When I got the chance to act in Vijay’s Master, Trisha sent me a message. She personally congratulated me. She messaged me saying, ‘Hey babe, I’m so happy for you. This is a big thing. Congratulations.’ Only someone with a good heart can say something like that,’ said Malavika.

Petta was released in 2019. Apart from Rajinikanth and Trisha, the film also had leading actors including Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran and Sasikumar. Malavika also said in the interview that she considers herself fortunate to have made her Tamil debut alongside such accomplished actors.
