JAIPUR: An Air India flight from Frankfurt, Germany to Delhi has reportedly received a bomb threat. The aircraft, which made an emergency landing at the Jaipur airport, is presently being examined by the security agencies. There are also reports that a hijacking alert was received.

There were around 250 passengers in AI 2030 flight. Information is emerging that the pilot used the code Squawk 7500 for a few seconds. This message was received by the Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control. Squawk 7500 is an emergency alert used to secretly convey information when an aircraft hijacking or seizure occurs. Upon receiving the message, the Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control informed the national security agencies, among others. Following this, the flight was diverted and landed in Jaipur.

A second report said that a passenger has placed a bomb on this flight, which will explode when it lands at the Delhi airport. All passengers and crew members have been safely evacuated from the aircraft. However, neither Air India nor the security agencies have officially confirmed these two reports. Air India has informed that passengers will be provided with the option to reschedule their journey free of charge or receive a full refund of their ticket amount.
