NEW DELHI: The BJP will launch the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his completion of 25 years in constitutional office. The campaign will feature various service, social and cultural programmes until October 17.
As part of the campaign, the BJP has urged people across the country to light an ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at their homes at 7 pm on Thursday as a gesture of respect to the Prime Minister. BJP president Nitin Nabin has called on all party workers to participate in the programme. At 6.45 pm, Nitin Nabin will perform Shipra Aarti and light a lamp at Ram Ghat in Ujjain.
The campaign will begin with blood donation camps on Thursday. A cleanliness drive and programmes to honour Anganwadi and ASHA workers will be held on October 2. On October 7, the BJP will organise marches and vehicle rallies, along with a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ pledge.
