Rejected proposal; brother-in-law beheads woman and dumps her body after cutting it into pieces

KOLKATA: Husband's brother kills woman for rejecting his love proposal and dumps her body after cutting it into pieces . The horror took place in Tollygunge, Bengal. The accused strangled Khadeja Bibi (40), a native of Kamdevpur, and cut her body into three pieces. The brother-in-law Atiur Rahman Laskar was arrested by the police. The incident came to light on Friday when the local residents noticed Khadeja Bibi's head wrapped in a polythene cover. The body parts of the woman were found in the nearby lake on Saturday during the police investigation.

Khadija, who separated from her husband two years ago, lived with her parents and children. The woman was working as domestic help. Laskar had proposed Khadija but she rejected him. Khadija then avoided him and blocked his number. With this, the accused decided to kill his sister in law. Khadija, who was returning from work on Thursday, was forcibly taken by Laskar near a building under construction. Khadija was killed and beheaded and her body was cut into three pieces and dumped in various places. Police identified Laskar using CCTV footage. He confessed to the crime.
