Last video call with male colleague at 2:30 am; Techie found hanging at home

HYDERABAD: A 29-year-old tech professional was found hanging at her home by her family members. The incident occurred in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. Archana Chaudhary Malik, a native of Uttar Pradesh, who was employed at a software company located in the Mindspace IT Corridor in Hyderabad, died in the incident.

It is reported that Archana video-called a male colleague around 2:30 AM and later committed suicide. At the time, the young man was attending an event outside Hyderabad, accompanied by his mother. According to the police, Archana threatened to end her life if he did not marry her.

The youngster tried contacting her later, but his calls went unanswered. Later, around 5:30 PM, he arrived at Archana’s apartment and found the door locked from the inside. He subsequently alerted the police; upon their arrival, they broke open the door and discovered Archana hanging. Her body has been shifted to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
