CHENNAI: There is no stopping the controversial statements targeting Trisha, a friend of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay. Following the controversial remarks by DMK leader and Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin, now AIADMK leader RB Udhayakumar came forward with a jibe targeting Trisha. Udhayakumar made a sarcastic remark saying that the whole of Tamil Nadu is waiting to know when Chief Minister Vijay's 'beloved' Trisha will be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

Udhayakumar reportedly made such a remark while addressing AIADMK workers in Thoothukudi on August 8. The remark came after criticizing the state government for failing to provide Tamil Nadu with the rightful water from Karnataka in relation to the Cauvery water issue.

Meanwhile, Trisha’s fans came out in criticism against Udhayakumar's remarks. In Madurai, the Trisha Fans Association put up posters condemning Udhayakumar’s statement. The reactions in the political arena, indirectly mentioning the two, have come out while rumours about Vijay and Trisha's relationship are circulating. Last week, Opposition leader Udayanidhi Stalin was arrested by police for his below-the-belt comment made against Trisha.
