MEERUT CASE

MEERUT: A woman caught her husband’s infidelity red-handed when he visited a momos shop in Meerut city with his alleged girlfriend. The verbal altercation turned into a fight, and he later drove his car, dragging his wife on the car's bonnet. The incident took place in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The police registered a case against the husband, Mayank, based on a complaint filed by his wife, Sunita. Charges including attempted murder have been filed against him.

The incident occurred yesterday evening. Sunita spotted Mayank sitting in the car and eating momos with his girlfriend, Mahi. She then knocked on the car windows and demanded that her husband step out. Panicked, Mayank locked the car and attempted to flee the scene.

As the car moved forward, Sunita stood in its path and subsequently ended up lying on the bonnet. The complaint alleged that Mayank drove the vehicle forward with Sunita lying on the bonnet for a distance of approximately 100 meters.

Shaken by her husband moving the vehicle, Sunitha pleaded with passersby for help. Mayank stopped the vehicle only after locals rushed to the scene upon witnessing the incident. Sunitha had filed a police complaint against her husband, alleging attempted murder, dowry harassment, and an extramarital affair.

The police arrested Mayank and Mahi based on the complaint filed by Sunitha. The car they were travelling in was taken into police custody. The police stated that the investigation into the incident is underway.
