KOCHI: Police have registered a case against criminal case accused Arjun Aayanki for allegedly threatening the Kothamangalam Circle Inspector through a Facebook post. The case has been registered under provisions of the Information Technology (IT) Act. According to police, the action was taken following a social media post made by Arjun Aayanki after he and several others were arrested from a resort in Kothamangalam on May 3.

In the Facebook post, Aayanki claimed that he and his friends had travelled to Kothamangalam to attend a wedding and were arrested at around 4 a.m. "as if they were terrorists" merely for posting dance videos and social media stories. He further alleged that false cases were being foisted on him. Aayanki also warned that even if additional cases were registered and he were sent to jail, he would not allow the concerned police officer to enjoy a peaceful retirement by drawing a pension.
