Youth storms Aryanad Police Station; Attacks circle inspector with iron chair

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth created a commotion after barging into the Aryanad Police Station on Saturday night. He has been identified as Yadhu Krishnan of Kulappada in Aryanad. He barged into the station carrying a liquor bottle, then threw it inside the premises, and tore up complaint documents kept on the temple.

On being informed, the circle inspector (CI) rushed to the station. The accused then fled into a nearby hospital building. When the circle inspector chased him, he allegedly hit the officer on the head with an iron chair. The circle inspector sustained serious head injuries and has been admitted to a hospital in Kattakkada.
