KOLLAM: A youth vandalised a restaurant named Mandi Manzil in Karunagappally following an argument with its staff. The accused has been identified as Ajmal, a native of Thevalakkara.

According to police, Ajmal had gone to the restaurant to have food when he got into an argument with the staff. He then threw items around the premises and damaged the restaurant's property, including the front counter. Police arrived at the scene and arrested him after the restaurant owner reported the incident.

During questioning, Ajmal told the police that he carried out the attack because he had been treated badly during a previous visit to the restaurant and wanted to take revenge. However, the restaurant owner rejected the claim, saying the restaurant had opened only a week ago and that such an incident could not have taken place as alleged by the accused. Police have registered a case against Ajmal based on the complaint filed by the restaurant owner.
