KANNUR: The Kannur district collector has ordered to slap Kerala Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act (KAAPA) against Arjun Ayanki. District collector P Vishnuraj approved the recommendation and case history report of Kannur City police commissioner.

The collector's order clarified that Arjun Ayanki, who has been an accused in several criminal cases in the last seven years, poses a great threat to the society. The action was taken as the accused, who is presently in jail, is likely to continue committing crimes if granted bail. The police have been directed to arrest Arjun Ayanki immediately and produce him before the Superintendent of Kannur Central Jail. The order states that he will be lodged in Kannur Central Jail as part of preventive detention.
