13-year-old girl dies after suffering electric shock from iron box

KOCHI: A 13-year-old girl in Ernakulam died after suffering an electric shock from the iron box. The victim has been identified as Swathy (13), daughter of Saneesh of Cheriya Pallam Thuruth at North Paravur in Ernakulam and Neethu. She was an eighth-class student of Paravur Government HSS.

She suffered the electric shock while ironing her uniform. She was immediately rushed to the Paravur Taluk Hospital but her life could not be saved. Her body has been shifted to Kalamassery Medical College. Her body will be laid to rest on Monday after the postmortem.
