THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 25-year-old woman died by suicide after her visa for higher studies in the UK was rejected. The dead has been identified as Anjana of Mulamoodu at Poovachal in Kattakada, Thiruvananthapuram. She was upset after her visa was rejected. She had completed a doctor assistant course and wanted to do a post-graduation.

Anjana was found hanging in her bedroom last night. Her mother panicked when she did not open the room. After receiving no response to repeated calls, the family broke open the door and then found her hanging.

She was immediately taken to a private hospital in Kattakada, but doctors could not save her. The body will be shifted to the medical college hospital after inquest proceedings.
