Tragic discovery near temple; missing 47-year-old found dead inside public well

ALAPPUZHA: A 47-year-old employee of a private establishment, who had been missing for over a day, was found dead in a public well near Kayamkulam. The deceased has been identified as Anilkumar, a resident of Eruva East.
According to local sources, Anilkumar was employed at a private commercial enterprise in Kayamkulam and routinely returned home late at night after his shift. Concerns arose when he failed to return home on Monday night. Following his disappearance, relatives and friends launched a search across various parts of the locality.
The search concluded when his body was spotted inside a public well situated near the Eruva Temple.
Upon receiving information, the Kayamkulam police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Following the completion of the inquest and necessary legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for final rites.
Anilkumar was the son of the late Karunakaran Nair and Saraswathy Amma. He is survived by his sibling, Baby, and brother-in-law, Ananthan. He was preceded in death by another brother, Unnikrishnan.
The police have registered a case regarding the incident and further investigations are underway.
