Assaulted female Technopark employees in Kazhakuttam; Main accused 'Bombay Kumar' arrested from Bengaluru

KAZHAKUTTAM: Kazhakuttam police arrested the prime accused who allegedly showered verbal abuse and even assaulted female Technopark employees and office-bearers of a residents' association. The arrested individual is 56-year-old Vijayakumar, known as 'Bombay Kumar,' a resident of 'Anju Bhavan' in Thundathil, Chenkottukonam. He has been remanded to judicial custody.

A police team from Kazhakuttam took him into custody from Hassan, Karnataka. An investigation, initiated following a tip-off received by the Kazhakuttam Cyber ​​City Assistant Commissioner, revealed that the accused had fled to Bengaluru. The police team tracked him down and apprehended him in a daring move. Kazhakuttam Sub-Inspector Vishnu M.P. and police officers Nishas and Chandu led the investigation and arrest.

The incident in question took place around 9 PM on July 22 at Pournami Gardens, Chenkottukonam. During a dispute regarding road tarring, the accused and his associates intercepted Technopark employees and office-bearers of the residents' association, verbally abused them, and assaulted them. Kiran, the second accused in the case, had already been arrested.
