Car rams into roadside shop in Kottayam; four injured, one critical

KOTTAYAM: Four people were injured after a car rammed into a roadside shop in Chingavanam, Kottayam. The accident took place at Ashanpadi on Wednesday evening. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. One of the injured is said to be in critical condition.

According to locals, the car lost control and rammed into a tea shop located along the MC Road. People who had stopped at the shop for refreshments were among those injured in the crash. Preliminary information suggests that the car was carrying passengers from Thiruvananthapuram. The occupants of the vehicle escaped with minor injuries. Chingavanam Police reached the spot and have begun an investigation into the accident.
