THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police registered a case against seven Congress workers after Ramya Haridas MLA filed a complaint following a scuffle with Congress workers in Chirayinkeezhu. The case has been filed under non-bailable sections, including SC and ST sections.

Meanwhile, Ramya Haridas clarified that the scuffle broke out after she questioned the bad remarks directed at her by a few workers on social media. Ramya said she was attacked after being invited to Congress worker Sajad's house. Ramya Haridas alleged that her clothes were torn off in the scuffle. The MLA said that the anger amogn a few workers, including the district panchayat member, rose from the fact that she remained neutral in the cooperative bank elections.
