'Sree Narayana Study Center soon in Delhi'; CM Satheesan's promise at Guru Jayanti meeting

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan opened up about the government's move to set up a full-length statue of Gurudev in Delhi and also start an international study centre that will spread the vision of Sree Narayana all over the world and provide opportunities for study. He was inaugurating the Thirujayanthi Mahasammelan at Chempazhanthi Gurukulam on the occasion of Gurudev's 172nd birth anniversary.

“Sivagiri and Chempazhanthi, a pilgrimage hotspot, need to be presented to the world. My dream is for a day to arrive when we can proclaim to the world our state's secular ethos, championed by Gurudeva. To proclaim to the world that Kerala is a land without divisions based on caste and religion, we should all literally become Sree Narayanaiyars. The vision of Gurudev is not something that should be confined within the boundaries of Kerala. It should travel the whole world. Sree Narayana Gurudev is the Vishwaguru.

It was the meeting with Gurudev that motivated Mahatma Gandhi to transform the freedom struggle beyond a political struggle into one for social justice. Gurudev thus influenced the Indian freedom struggle.

We have seen Gurudev's philosophy transform into an antidote to divisions and conflicts and a catalyst for the social transformation of Kerala. Gurudev's greatest strength was to create a storm in the social arena by questioning all wrongdoings with gentle words,” said CM Satheesan.

V. Muraleedharan MLA presided. Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust President Swami Sachidananda gave the Jayanti message. Swami Sachidananda said that the vision of Gurudev that humanity is greater than religion should be realised.
