Devotees to have smooth darshan of Guruvayoorappan; introducing virtual queue system in temple

THRISSUR: The Guruvayur Devaswom Board is planning to introduce a virtual queue system for darshan in Guruvayur temple. Devaswom Chairman A V Gopinath said at a press meet convened that the virtual queue is being implemented in compliance with the high court's directive to take steps to make it possible for devotees to have a comfortable darshan.

The procedures for implementing the virtual queue will begin soon. A FaceApp system is also being implemented to avoid hours of queuing for darshan. The responsibility for this will be handed over to the best agency from the agencies that applied. These systems will be prepared until the queue complex is operationalized. With the construction of most modern queue complex, the difficulties of the devotees will end. The devaswom chairman also informed that the tender process for preparing a master plan for this is in the final stage.


Land is required for the development of the temple. The chairman also informed that discussions will be held with those who will lose land within ten days to resolve their concerns. The renovated Kousthubham Rest House will be opened to devotees next month. A Digi locker system will be installed to store the belongings of devotees, including their phones. The chairman also informed that the flyover inside the temple used for darshan will be replaced and a new flyover will be installed within two weeks so that the elderly and children can climb it without any difficulty.
