THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complaint has been filed alleging that the driver of former Chief Minister and Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan was assaulted by police personnel near Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. The complaint was lodged with the DGP by Anoop P.K., an employee of the AKG Centre. According to the complaint, the incident occurred while he was returning after dropping Pinarayi Vijayan at the railway station.

Anoop alleged that as he was attempting to park the vehicle near the station, a group of police officers approached and blocked the vehicle. He claimed that the officers shouted at him to move the vehicle and subsequently assaulted him during the altercation. In the complaint, Anoop stated that he was grabbed by the neck and pushed, causing both physical discomfort and mental distress.

He further alleged that the officers involved in the incident were identified as Jayan and Sharath, who were on duty at the railway station at the time. Anoop has requested a thorough investigation into the incident and demanded legal action against those responsible.
