Heavy rains to continue: Holiday declared for educational institutions in Pathanamthitta tomorrow; red alert today, orange alert tomorrow in district

PATHANAMTHITTA: The District Collector has declared a holiday for all educational institutions in Pathanamthitta on Friday after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for the district.

The holiday applies to all educational institutions, from anganwadis to professional colleges. The district is under a Red Alert on Thursday, while the IMD has warned that very heavy rainfall is likely to continue on Friday. Waterlogging continues in several parts of the district.
