Narrow escape for mother, child after lorry rams into parked car in Kilimanoor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A goods lorry crashed into a parked car in Kilimanoor on Monday. The accident occurred seconds after the mother and child got out of the passenger seat. Both escaped narrowly from what could have been a tragic accident. Shocking CCTV footage of the accident surfaced on Monday evening.

The accident took place in Erattachira in Kilimanoor this afternoon. A young woman, her husband and their child were in the car. The family came to a nearby shop to buy essentials. After parking, the woman and child got out of the car, and just seconds later, a goods lorry rammed into the vehicle. It is reported that the young man who was in the car at the time of the accident escaped without injuries.

The initial conclusion is that the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash. The police registered a case against the lorry driver for reckless driving in the incident. The case is based on CCTV footage.
