‘Does she look like a woman’? Passenger complains against Priyadarshini conductor for humiliation

KOCHI: A student has filed a complaint against the conductor of KSRTC Priyadarshini bus for humiliating her. The alleged incident happened while she was travelling on a limited-stop bus operating on the Guruvayur–Ernakulam route. Her complaint said the conductor told her that she did not look like a woman and refused to issue her a zero ticket. The student also alleged that the conductor hurled abuses at her. She filed the complaint at the Paravur police station.

The student said the conductor asked other passengers whether she looked like a woman and humiliated her in front of them. She stated that the incident caused her embarrassment and emotional distress. In her complaint, she sought action against the conductor and demanded justice.

The student also alleged that some other passengers behaved inappropriately towards her. The Paravur police have summoned the conductor to the police station today.
