Tragic end in front of mother: 20-year-old killed as KSRTC bus crushes scooter

THRISSUR: A 20-year-old woman was killed after a KSRTC bus ran over her scooter at Ullookkara in Paravattani, Thrissur. The deceased has been identified as Angel. The accident occurred in front of her mother.

The accident took place when a KSRTC bus travelling from Mannuthy towards Thrissur was overtaking another vehicle. Angel was turning her scooter from the main road into the road leading to her house when she came under the bus. The bus reportedly ran over her body. She sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.

Angel was returning home after dropping her younger brother off for tuition in Mannuthy. Her brother is a BDS student at a college in Kothamangalam.

The accident occurred as she turned right from the main road to enter the road leading to her house. The bus, which was approaching from behind, hit her during the turn.

The body has been shifted for post-mortem examination. It will be handed over to her relatives after the procedures are completed. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
