THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Meta has restored two posts that were removed from the official Facebook page of Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan. The company has admitted in writing to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) that the removal was due to an error.
The two posts were removed from the official CMO Kerala Facebook page. One was a post dated August 19 announcing an increase in the festival allowance for ASHA workers. The other carried greetings on the occasion of Nabi Day.
The posts were removed a few days ago. Chief Minister’s Secretary Rathan U. Khelkar had written to Meta and the Union Ministry of Information Technology seeking an explanation for the removal. He also demanded that the posts be restored.
In its response, Meta admitted that the removal was an error. Following the response, both posts have now been restored and are available on the CMO Kerala Facebook page.
