One killed, three seriously injured after car rams into people waiting for bus

THRISSUR: One person was killed after a car rammed into a group of people who were waiting for the bus. The dead has been identified as 65-year-old Abdul Razak of Vaniyambara. The accident happened early Sunday morning on the Palakkad–Vadakkenchery–Mannuthy National Highway. The car, which was heading towards Thrissur, lost control near Vaniyambara and rammed into the bus stop.

The accident happened when Abdul Razak was waiting for the bus along with his wife and daughter. His wife, along with local residents Pradeep and Manikandan, also sustained injuries in the accident. Reports say the condition of the three admitted at a private hospital in Erattakulam is serious.

The police have taken 22-year-old Amal of Thrissur, who was driving the car.
