SHO of Mala station found dead in quarters

THRISSUR: A police officer was found hanging in the quarters. Station house officer (SHO) R Rajesh (46) of Mala station was found hanging in the ceiling fan. He is a native of Kollam.

Rajesh, who had been on leave for two days, arrived at the quarters yesterday afternoon. He was found dead in a search conducted this morning after the quarters were not opened. The workers working in the vicinity of the quarters had seen Rajesh yesterday afternoon. It is believed that he may have committed suicide after that.

A suicide note has been received. Police said the suicide note has cited personal issues for the death. The district police chief has reached the spot. The body will be handed over to his relatives after further procedures.
