THRISSUR: Two people were killed in an accident at Kunnamkulam after a private bus lost control and rammed into several vehicles. The two dead have been identified as Riya Fathima (17) of Porkulam in Kunnamkulam and Thankamani (50) of Ayyamparambu. Eight sustained injuries in the accident. Reports say the condition of two is critical.

The accident happened Thursday afternoon at Kunnamkulam’s Parempadam. The private bus coming to Thrissur from Kozhikode lost control and then rammed into multiple vehicles. The bus later stopped after hitting the wall of a house. The bus fatally struck five vehicles including a car, an auto and a bike.

The injured has been admitted at the Malankara Hospital in Kunnamkulam. The condition of a woman, Riya Fathima’s relative and a biker is stated to be critical. The initial conclusion is that the bus was over speeding.
